Collection: Abstract Art Sea Series

Abstract Sea Art by Jacs Waggett

The sea is where I return when I need to feel the scale of things again. This abstract sea art series explores the shifting edge between land, water, and emotion – moments of calm, unease, power, and release that are difficult to name but easy to feel. Painted in North Devon, these works are not about depicting a place exactly, but about capturing what it feels like to stand at the shoreline and let the mind soften.

My abstract seascape paintings are created using layered acrylics, mixed media, and intuitive mark-making. The movement of water, changing light, and tidal rhythms guide the process, allowing each piece to evolve organically. Some works are expansive and quiet, others carry a sense of weight and energy – reflecting the sea’s ability to hold both stillness and force at the same time.

Each painting in this collection is an original artwork, created as an invitation to pause and breathe. These abstract sea paintings are suited to spaces where you want calm, depth, and a connection to nature – a reminder of the sea as both a physical place and an inner landscape.
