"Sandy Soul" was born from one of those magical moments at the edge of the sea, where light and reflections weave together in a hypnotic dance. On this particular day, the water was so clear it seemed to glow, pulling me in with an irresistible urge to strip down and dive in—a perfect start to the day at Putsborough Beach Devon.
Creating this abstract seascape in acrylic flow art was my way of taking a week-long retreat, fully immersing myself in the quiet power and resilience of the landscape that surrounds me. The rocks along the headland, with their layered colors marking the ever-changing tide lines, fit together like a puzzle, working in harmony with the fluid movements of the sea, always different at Putsborough.
In "Seductive Serpent,"* the painting flows between petrol blues and calm skies, with serene aqua lines marking the horizon. The ever-changing shapes and colors in the water remind me of a serpent’s undulating form, wild and captivating, yet strangely peaceful. When I look at this piece, I feel that delicate balance—a serene surface with an undercurrent of something wild and untamed beneath.
This abstract seascape is my attempt to capture a fleeting moment in time—a dance of colors and reflections that are as unique as the moment itself only seen once the moment in Devon.
And, of course, my signature on each piece is a small reminder of the care and passion that went into creating it.
With "Seductive Serpent,"* I hope you feel that same sense of peace—though perhaps without needing to don a wet suit. It’s a gentle reminder to slow down, to appreciate the small, beautiful moments in life, and to find wonder in unexpected places—even if that place is an abstract seascape hanging in your living room and bring a little of Putsborough Beach in Devonright into your home.
