Tide lines (M)

This piece was inspired by the ever-shifting light and rhythm of the North Devon coastline, a place I walk daily, watching how the tide leaves its stories in layers across the sand. I used thick, expressive brushwork and a muted, coastal palette to capture that sense of pause between the pull and return of the sea.

The textures are built up with oil on canvas, allowing light to catch on the peaks of the waves and the atmospheric sky above. “Tide Lines” is a deeply personal and intuitive coastal artwork, part memory, part moment.
