"Illuminate" is a piece that comes straight from my heart, inspired by my time drifting on the River Dart in Devon. There, I was surrounded by the vibrant green glow of new leaves, a sight that felt almost magical. The way the trees cast this unique green light into the water is a beautiful, fleeting moment of nature's artistry.
Creating this abstract acrylic flow art was a welcome escape from my busy life, away from my children and responsibilities. I wanted to capture the mesmerizing play of light and water that brought me so much peace. I used high colour paper designed to enhance luminescent tones, allowing the layers of paint to flow and blend naturally, just like the river. The result is a glow that mirrors the ever-changing light I saw on those tranquil days, with colours that shift and dance as you look at the piece from different angles.
I've presented "Illuminate" in a high-quality 3D white box frame with a quality perspex screen. This not only protects the artwork but also gives it a striking presence, inviting you to come closer and lose yourself in its depths.
