"Luminescence" is a deeply personal piece, born from my moments drifting on the River Dart in Devon. There, I found myself enveloped by the radiant green glow of new leaves, a natural phenomenon that felt almost otherworldly. The way the treeline casts this unique green luminescence into the water is a sight that’s both fleeting and magical, a testament to nature’s incredible artistry.
In creating this acrylic flow piece, I aimed to capture that mesmerizing interplay of light and water. Using high colour paper specifically designed to enhance luminescent tones, I let the layers of paint flow and merge organically, reflecting the fluid movement of the river. The resulting glow mirrors the vibrant, ever-changing light I witnessed on those tranquil days.
