Citron Sweep - tranquil art on the river dart

Citron Sweep is my interpretation of the tranquility of the landscape conveyed in art, my goal is to transport viewers to a serene realm where they can leave the worries of the world behind and experience peace. Each layer of texture and mixed media is carefully composed to capture the essence of quietude - the gentle sway of trees, the soft ripples of water, the distant whispers of nature. The greens, citrus yellows, sitting with hues of natures blues, I feel give a sense of calm when viewed and I can choose my own perspective to make it a sweep of a river or a headland out to sea.

I use layers of paint and mixed media to create a harmonious tapestry of textures that invites viewers to lose themselves in the intricate details of the scene. I choose soothing and muted colors that evoke a sense of calm, which washes over those who behold the artwork.

Through my tranquil landscapes, I want to offer a refuge from the chaos of daily life - a place where one can find solace and renewal amidst the beauty of nature. Each painting serves as a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the quiet moments that enrich our souls.

Presented on high quality basswood board which is durable and robust, each one has been sanded down and primed.  There is no flex or bend in this wooden board which ensures the layering effects using in creating the piece remain intact.
